Privacy Policy

Social Post Forge ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension that helps users generate social media post content using third-party AI providers.
Data We Collect
The Extension does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on our
servers. We have no servers. All data — including API keys, prompts, custom
styles, uploaded images, and generated content — is stored locally in your
browser using Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local) and never
leaves your device except when sent directly to the AI provider you configure.
Third-Party AI Providers
When you use the Extension, your input (text or images) and your selected prompt are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you have configured (OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, ZenMux, or a local Ollama instance). This is done using your own API key. We do not proxy, intercept, or have access to this data. Please review the privacy policies of these providers:
- OpenAI: openai.com/privacy
- Anthropic: anthropic.com/privacy
- ZenMux: zenmux.ai/privacy (refer to their site)
- Ollama: runs locally on your machine; no data leaves your device
API Keys
API keys you enter are stored locally in your browser using
chrome.storage.local and are never transmitted anywhere except directly to
the corresponding provider's official API endpoint, using standard
authorization headers.
Data Retention & Deletion
You can clear all locally stored data at any time by clicking the reset button in the Extension or by removing the Extension from Chrome, which deletes all associated local storage.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
